Dubai is preparing to welcome the Women’s Triathlon World Cup - Dubai 2025, a groundbreaking event dedicated solely to female athletes. Organized by the Dubai Sports Council, this significant competition will take place on Dubai Islands on December 7, 2025, under the guidance of World Triathlon in partnership with the UAE Triathlon Federation.

This milestone event underscores Dubai’s dedication to advancing women's sports and providing a global platform for competitive excellence.

Participants will compete in three triathlon disciplines: swimming, cycling, and running. There will be three formats available: Professional (Amateurs): a 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run; Sprint (Amateurs): a 750m swim, 20km cycle, 5km run; and Super Sprint (Age Groups & Beginners): a 400m swim, 10km cycle, 2.5km run.

Aiming to foster teamwork and strategic collaboration, the event also features a team category, where three female athletes compete across different disciplines in the Sprint and Super Sprint formats.

This initiative aligns with Dubai’s vision to enhance women’s roles in fostering a balanced society and increasing their participation in global sporting events. The championship exemplifies the Dubai Sports Council's mission to establish the city as a leading global sports hub while ensuring a safe and competitive environment for women to thrive.

By launching this women-only world cup, Dubai emphasizes its commitment to equality and promoting female engagement in endurance sports worldwide.

World Triathlon, previously known as the International Triathlon Union (ITU), expressed pride in featuring this event on its official calendar. The governing body highlighted the significance of Dubai's initiative and its transformative impact on women's sports.

World Triathlon President Antonio Fernandez Arimany praised Dubai for its trailblazing efforts in supporting female athletes and noted the event's role in boosting women's participation in endurance sports globally.

The Dubai Sports Council has commenced registrations for women aged 18 and above, from all backgrounds, both inside and outside the UAE. Athletes can register via the official event website, with registration open until December 3, 2025, allowing ample time for athletes to secure their spot in this landmark competition.

The Women’s Triathlon World Cup Dubai 2025 marks a significant advancement for female athletes around the globe. It offers international recognition while fostering health, fitness, and empowerment in sports. The event is anticipated to set a new benchmark for women's triathlon competitions and inspire other nations to organize similar events in the future.
