Renowned music artist Akon landed in Delhi on Sunday, November 9, ahead of his eagerly awaited concert slated for later tonight. Accompanied by his wife, Tomeka Thiam, and a dedicated crew, the couple looked happy as they welcomed reporters at the airport, despite recent speculation about their marriage.
A Fashionable Entrance at Delhi Airport
Both Akon and Tomeka turned heads with their coordinated black attire. The singer chose a relaxed black hoodie and jeans, while Tomeka showcased her elegance in a sleek all-black outfit. Radiating joy, they struck poses for photographs, with Akon sharing his delight in returning to perform in India.
This outing comes amid reports suggesting that Tomeka filed for divorce in September, with court documents stating their separation date as "to be determined," which adds significance to their joint public appearance.
Delhi Gears Up for Akon’s Spectacular Show
The Delhi segment of Akon’s Indian tour is expected to attract nearly 10,000 fans from across the National Capital Region. The concert, scheduled from 5 PM to 10 PM at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, will showcase some of Akon’s most popular international hits.
Authorities have arranged special traffic measures around the venue to facilitate smooth transit. Restrictions will take effect from 4 PM to 11 PM, including a ban on heavy vehicles along the route from JLN Stadium Red Light to B.P. Marg.
After his performance in Delhi, Akon will continue his tour in India, with concerts in Bengaluru on November 14 and Mumbai on November 16, bringing his electrifying sounds to fans nationwide.
