AC/DC confirms four Canadian stadium dates for 2026 Power Up tour

AC/DC confirms four Canadian stadium dates for 2026 Power Up tour

Post by : Meena Ariff

Rock veterans AC/DC will bring their Power Up tour to Canada in 2026 with four headline stadium performances across the country, organisers announced. The Australian outfit will visit Edmonton, Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto as part of the run supporting their 2020 record.

The run opens at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton on August 9, 2026. The 56,400-seat venue will host the band again following their 2015 and 2009 stops; Heather Seutter, director of the stadium, said the show will draw attendees from across the city, the province and beyond.

Next, AC/DC will play BC Place in Vancouver on August 13 before pausing for a series of U.S. dates. They return to Canada in September for a September 12 concert at Montreal’s Parc Jean-Drapeau, a site that can accommodate as many as 65,000 fans and is scheduled to host Iron Maiden a week earlier.

The Canadian leg concludes on September 16, 2026, at Rogers Stadium in downtown Toronto. All four dates list American rock group The Pretty Reckless as the supporting act.

Tickets for the Canadian shows go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. local time through Ticketmaster.

Formed in Sydney in 1973, AC/DC have sold in excess of 200 million albums worldwide and are known for landmark releases such as Highway to Hell (1979) and Back in Black (1980). Their high-voltage live performances and Angus Young’s signature riffs remain central to their appeal.

Despite personnel changes over the years and the loss of co‑founder Malcolm Young in 2017, the band continues to tour with Angus Young on lead guitar, Brian Johnson on vocals, Stevie Young on rhythm guitar, Matt Laug on drums and Chris Chaney on bass.

AC/DC’s influence was recognised with induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003, underscoring their place among rock’s most enduring acts.
