Zayn Malik Returns to One Direction as Director After 10 Years

Zayn Malik Returns to One Direction as Director After 10 Years

Post by : Meena Ariff

In a remarkable twist, Zayn Malik has reportedly rejoined One Direction nearly a decade following his departure. Recent documents reveal that the “Pillowtalk” artist has been reinstated as a director at the band’s company, PPM Music Limited, indicating a rekindled relationship with his former bandmates after the untimely passing of Liam Payne.

As per filings to Companies House dated November 3, 2025, Zayn Malik is now designated as Active Director of PPM Music Limited. He has also attained the status of a Person with Significant Control (PSC), affording him considerable sway within the organization.

This shift represents a marked reversal from Zayn’s previous directorship, which concluded on June 20, 2016, shortly after his high-profile exit in 2015.

Zayn now shares the role with fellow One Direction members – Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan – all listed as co-directors. The filings show that they use the same registered address at Lee and Thompson LLP, a well-known London law firm, which also managed Liam Payne’s solo endeavors.

A source close to the situation disclosed, “This is a significant moment. While utterly tragic, Liam's passing has united them. It’s even more sorrowful that he was the biggest supporter of a reunion.”

Additionally, it was mentioned, “PPM was the initial company they established after their win on The X Factor. The name represents Princess Park Manor, the exclusive complex they were housed in post-victory. Since Liam's passing, they have been in touch.”

The comments reference the unfortunate death of Liam Payne, who lost his life last October at 31 after a fall from a hotel balcony in Argentina. The remaining members – Zayn, Harry, Louis, and Niall – have since gathered to honor his memory, including attending Liam’s funeral, a rare occasion where they were publicly seen together.

Although this announcement does not indicate a full musical reunion, Zayn Malik’s return as a director of PPM Music Limited hints at a possible rekindling of his ties with One Direction. Fans globally are buzzing with speculation about potential new projects, collaborations, or a complete comeback.
