Yashasvi Jaiswal Updates Fans on Health After Stomach Issues

Yashasvi Jaiswal Updates Fans on Health After Stomach Issues

Post by : Maya Rahman

Indian cricket sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal provided a health update following his hospitalization at Aditya Birla Hospital due to intense stomach cramps during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025. He felt unwell during Mumbai’s match against Rajasthan and was subsequently diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis. Reports indicate he lost more than 2 kg in just 48 hours and has been advised to rest for the next 7-10 days.

Expressing gratitude to his fans on X (formerly Twitter), Jaiswal stated, "I want to thank everyone for the incredible support. I'm recovering well, thankful for the excellent medical care, and can’t wait to be back on the pitch soon!"

According to sources, Jaiswal might have contracted food poisoning from something he consumed at his hotel. His condition improved significantly after receiving timely treatment, which included an ultrasound and CT scan. Medical professionals have recommended he continues his treatment and prioritize rest.

Due to his current health status, Jaiswal might miss the initial matches of the domestic one-day Vijay Hazare Trophy, commencing on December 24. Nonetheless, he is anticipated to be fit for India’s upcoming ODIs against New Zealand.

Throughout the SMAT encounter, Jaiswal struggled with stomach cramps, and his condition deteriorated after the match. With adequate care and rest, the promising batter is on the path to recovery and remains optimistic about returning to the sport shortly.
