Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday sent Republic Day greetings to President Droupadi Murmu and the people of India, describing the relationship between the two countries as one based on neighbourhood, friendship, and partnership.
In his message, Xi said that China and India, as two major developing nations and neighbouring countries, share a responsibility to maintain stable and constructive relations. He noted that over the past year, ties between New Delhi and Beijing have continued to improve through dialogue and cooperation at various levels.
Highlighting the broader impact of bilateral relations, Xi stated that a healthy and forward-looking India-China relationship is of great importance not only for both nations but also for regional stability and global prosperity.
