Japan: Record-breaking rainfall has triggered severe flooding across Chiba Prefecture, killing at least eight people and leaving thousands of travellers stranded at Narita International Airport. More than 360 mm of rain fell in parts of the region within 24 hours, flooding roads and railway lines and prompting emergency rescue operations.
