The United Arab Emirates has conveyed its profound condolences to Turkey in response to the heartbreaking crash of a military cargo plane on Wednesday that resulted in the deaths of 20 soldiers.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of the UAE expressed its sympathy to the bereaved families and highlighted the shared sorrow felt by the Turkish government and citizens. They reaffirmed the UAE's dedication to stand by Turkey in these trying times.

This tragic incident involved a C-130 aircraft which, while traveling from Azerbaijan to Turkey, crashed in Georgia. Investigations are currently underway to ascertain what led to the accident, marking Turkey’s gravest military calamity since 2020.

The loss of 20 soldiers represents a significant blow to the Turkish armed forces, prompting a period of national mourning. Authorities are working diligently to assist the families of the victims and ensure a comprehensive inquiry into the crash.

The UAE's expression of condolences underscores the strong diplomatic and strategic relations between both nations, reinforcing regional unity in the wake of such unfortunate events. There remains a commitment to ongoing collaboration and mutual assistance in military and humanitarian fields during times of crisis.
