Abu Dhabi – UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan convened with Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari in Abu Dhabi to fortify bilateral ties, particularly in trade, economy, and investment.
The discussions were held at Qasr Al Bahr, where Sheikh Mohamed warmly welcomed President Zardari and commended his endeavors to strengthen bonds between their nations, which have showed consistent advancement.
Both leaders assessed the progress on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) negotiations, expressing optimism that this agreement will significantly enhance economic collaboration and trade between the UAE and Pakistan.
Their talks also addressed various regional and global developments. The leaders underscored the necessity of dialogue and diplomatic efforts to foster peace and stability worldwide.
Sheikh Mohamed acknowledged Pakistan's current tenure on the United Nations Security Council, emphasizing its potential for fostering cooperative initiatives on global security challenges.
President Zardari reaffirmed the robust partnership between the UAE and Pakistan, expressing Pakistan's eagerness to broaden economic collaborations that mutually benefit both nations.
