Tran Cam Tu Reviews Party Inspection Reforms

Tran Cam Tu Reviews Party Inspection Reforms

Post by : Shakul

Vietnam's Politburo member and Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat, Tran Cam Tu, chaired a high-level working session with the Central Inspection Committee in Hanoi to evaluate inspection and supervision activities conducted during the first five months of 2026 and outline priorities for the months ahead. The meeting brought together senior Party officials, representatives of central agencies, and members of the Central Inspection Committee.

During the session, officials reviewed progress made in strengthening Party discipline, improving supervision mechanisms, and supporting preparations linked to the 14th National Party Congress and the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils for the 2026–2031 term. The Central Inspection Committee reported active participation in drafting and implementing new regulations aimed at enhancing the Party's inspection and disciplinary framework.

According to the committee's report, significant efforts have been made to modernize oversight systems and improve the effectiveness of inspections. Since the beginning of the year, the committee has advised the Party leadership on several key regulatory documents and coordinated closely with law enforcement agencies to strengthen oversight and accountability mechanisms. The committee also expanded its use of digital platforms, including the VNeID application, to receive public feedback and identify early warning signs of potential violations.

The leadership praised the committee for its decisive approach in implementing inspection programs across the country. More than twenty inspection and supervision teams were established to examine Party organizations directly under the Central Committee. Authorities also carried out disciplinary actions against several Party members found in violation of Party regulations, demonstrating a continued commitment to accountability and organizational integrity.

Speaking at the meeting, Tran Cam Tu emphasized that Party building and rectification efforts face increasingly complex challenges and require stronger, more proactive supervision. He stressed that inspection work must be conducted in a timely, decisive, and transparent manner to ensure Party resolutions, directives, and policies are implemented effectively across all levels of government and administration.

The Party leader called for greater focus on sensitive sectors and areas where violations are more likely to occur, including corruption, wastefulness, abuse of power, and conflicts of interest. He also highlighted the importance of enforcing newly issued regulations on political and ideological work within the Party while strengthening oversight of local administrations, major investment projects, economic development programs, and national strategic initiatives.

Looking ahead, the Central Inspection Committee was instructed to accelerate digital transformation efforts, enhance coordination with Party-building agencies, and strengthen information security systems. Special attention will also be given to training grassroots inspection officials at commune, ward, and special-zone levels to ensure they possess the professional skills and integrity needed to meet the growing demands of Party supervision and governance reform in Vietnam.
