Tere Ishk Mein has showcased a remarkable performance at the Indian box office, garnering an estimated ₹10.25 crore on its fifth day, bringing its total India net earnings to approximately ₹71 crore across multiple languages. Featuring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, the film stands out as one of the month’s top performers, drawing audiences even amidst mid-week fluctuations.
The film debuted with ₹16 crore on its opening Friday, followed by ₹17 crore on Saturday and reaching a high of ₹19 crore on Sunday. A predictable decline occurred on Monday with ₹8.75 crore, but the film rebounded remarkably on Tuesday, fueled by positive word-of-mouth. The Hindi version remains the biggest contributor, while the Tamil version continues to perform steadily, establishing a robust multi-language foundation.
Tere Ishk Mein is surpassing the performance of Dhanush's earlier 2025 film Idli Kadai, which made around ₹50 crore domestically. Its sights are now set on the benchmark of ₹91 crore set by Kuberaa. With current trends, this Aanand L. Rai directorial is poised to exceed that number, potentially marking Dhanush’s most successful film of the year.
Directed by Aanand L. Rai, the film delves into a passionate and turbulent love story marked by obsession, longing, and emotional depth. Dhanush's poignant portrayal and Kriti Sanon's commanding presence have garnered acclaim. One review noted, “Dhanush excels, capturing Shankar’s emotional transitions with impressive depth. His chemistry with Kriti Sanon heightens the film’s essence, while Kriti brings complexity and vigor to her role.”
