Tanya Mittal’s Previous Remarks Reemerge After Ektaa Kapoor’s TV Invitation

Tanya Mittal’s Previous Remarks Reemerge After Ektaa Kapoor’s TV Invitation

Post by : Meena Ariff

Ektaa Kapoor, known for incorporating Bigg Boss contestants into her television projects, made an offer to Tanya Mittal and composer Amaal Mallik during her visit to the Bigg Boss 19 house this year. This sparked a conversation on Reddit where users unearthed Tanya's earlier comments about preferring collaboration with emerging talent over industry heavyweights.

In a podcast from February, Tanya expressed that while she has been approached for various films and music videos, her primary focus remains on uplifting collective talent rather than seeking fame for herself. “Pursuing roles solely for notoriety would turn me into a self-absorbed individual,” she emphasized.

When questioned about her desired directors, she stated, “People tend to chase prominent figures like Karan Johar or Sanjay Leela Bhansali. My goal is to collaborate with lesser-known directors who possess talent yet lack a prominent star. I would even consider working pro bono to assist them.” She reiterated her commitment to helping emerging artists, stating, “Fame and money do not drive my ambitions.”

Responses on Reddit were mixed; while some humorously asked if Tanya would turn down Ektaa’s offer, others labeled her a hypocrite, referencing her dissatisfaction with her 3.7 million Instagram followers.

In a recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Ektaa Kapoor expressed her desire to cast Tanya Mittal and Amaal Mallik, who reacted with joy, calling it a “dream come true.” Salman Khan humorously suggested she would portray a character of lesser means, to which Tanya joyfully responded by dancing in celebration of the offer.

As the competition heats up, Kunickaa Sadanand was evicted this week. With only two weeks remaining, contestants including Malti Chahar, Shehbaz Badesha, Amaal Mallik, Gaurav Khanna, Pranit More, Tanya Mittal, and Farrhana Bhatt are giving it their all to clinch the title.
