Tabung Haji has reported its highest profit in eight years, announcing a 3.5% payout for the 2025 financial year, benefiting around 9.7 million depositors across Malaysia.
According to Zulkifli Hasan, the total profit distribution amounts to RM3.22 billion, after accounting for zakat contributions. The strong performance reflects improved governance, disciplined cost management, and a resilient investment strategy.
The fund also recorded investment income of RM4.64 billion in 2025, slightly higher than the previous year, supported by stable economic conditions and effective financial planning. Its total assets stand at nearly RM98.6 billion, exceeding liabilities and reinforcing its strong financial position.
As part of its religious and social responsibility, Tabung Haji will distribute RM95.3 million in zakat to state Islamic councils, continuing its support for community welfare programs. Since its establishment, the institution has distributed approximately RM49 billion in profits and helped over 1.5 million Malaysians perform the Hajj pilgrimage.
The announcement highlights Tabung Haji’s continued role as a key financial and religious institution in Malaysia, ensuring stable returns while supporting Islamic social initiatives.
