During the 152nd Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly in Istanbul, Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Bahrain's House Speaker, engaged with Pakistan's National Assembly Speaker, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, highlighting their nations' longstanding ties.
In this important setting, they emphasized the need to enhance parliamentary collaboration and dialogue between Bahrain and Pakistan.
Al Musallam praised the deep-rooted relations and steady advancements in various sectors, acknowledging Pakistan’s role in fostering regional peace and stability.
He expressed strong disapproval of recent actions by Iran affecting not just Bahrain but also the Gulf Cooperation Council states and Jordan, labeling these as breaches of international law that threaten regional security.
In a reciprocal gesture, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq reiterated Pakistan’s determination to fortify its ties with Bahrain, particularly within the realm of parliamentary interactions, and emphasized mutual cooperation across various sectors of interest.
