A major fire broke out at a madrasa in Srinagar’s Hyderpora area, triggering panic among residents and students. The incident raised serious concerns about safety in educational institutions.
Authorities confirmed that nearly 200 students were safely evacuated from the building, preventing what could have been a major tragedy. Quick action by staff and emergency teams ensured that all students were brought to safety in time.
Firefighters rushed to the scene with multiple fire tenders and began operations to control the blaze. After intense efforts, the fire was brought under control, though significant damage was reported to the structure.
