Tragic Loss: Actor Spencer Lofranco Passes Away at 33

Post by : Meena Ariff

Spencer Lofranco, a talented Canadian actor recognized for his performance in the film Gotti alongside John Travolta, has sadly died at just 33 years old. The news was shared by his brother, Santino Lofranco, on Instagram on November 20, indicating Spencer's passing occurred on November 18.

Santino's heartfelt message read: “To the legend @roccowinning. My brother. You lived a life only some could dream of. You changed people’s lives, and now you are with God. I will always love you and miss you, Bear. RIP. October 18, 1992 – November 18, 2025.” He included both childhood photos and recent images of Spencer.

Born in Toronto, Spencer featured in seven films from 2013 to 2018. His significant credits encompass Angelina Jolie’s war drama Unbroken as well as Gotti, where he portrayed John Travolta’s character's son in the narrative of New York mobster John Gotti. His filmography also includes At Middleton (2013), Jamesy Boy (2014), Dixieland (2015), Home (2015), and King Cobra (2016).

Current reports suggest that the circumstances surrounding Spencer’s death are being looked into in British Columbia, Canada.

In a past interview from 2014, Spencer shared that he decided to pursue acting at 17, despite his father's wish for him to pursue a career in hockey or law. He attended the New York Film Academy for a year before embarking on his acting career. Remembering his time filming Unbroken, he expressed excitement, saying, “Growing up, Angelina Jolie was my dream girl. Now I’m going to shoot a movie with her. It’s crazy.”

Spencer Lofranco’s untimely passing marks the end of a promising career and a remarkable life in the film industry.
