Types of Skydiving Available

1. Tandem Skydiving (For Beginners)

You’ll be securely harnessed to a licensed instructor. No experience is required.

  • Jump altitude: 13,000 feet

  • Free-fall: 60 seconds

  • Total time (incl. glide descent): 20–30 minutes

  • Best for first-time adventurers

2. Licensed Solo Skydiving (For Experienced Jumpers Only)

Solo skydiving is available at the Desert Zone for certified jumpers.

Requirements:

  • Valid license (USPA, FAI, or equivalent)

  • Minimum 500 logged jumps for Palm Zone

  • Own gear with AAD (Automatic Activation Device)

3. Accelerated Free Fall (AFF) Training Course

This program is designed for those looking to skydive solo in the future.

Includes:

  • 8-level jump training

  • Ground instruction and safety modules

  • Supervised progression toward license

Health & Safety Guidelines

Skydiving in Dubai is strictly regulated and follows international best practices under:

  • Emirates Aerosports Federation (EAF)

  • United States Parachute Association (USPA)

  • General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA)

Requirements:

  • Age: Minimum 18 years

  • Weight: Under 100 kg (males) and 90 kg (females)

  • Health: No heart conditions, epilepsy, recent surgeries, or pregnancy

  • No alcohol or drugs: 24 hours prior

What to Expect on the Day

  1. Check-in: Arrive 45–60 minutes early

  2. Paperwork & Screening: Show ID, fill consent forms, health screening

  3. Gear-Up: Flight suit, harness, helmet, goggles

  4. Training: Watch a safety video + pre-jump briefing

  5. Flight: Ascend to 13,000 feet in a turbine aircraft

  6. The Jump: Jump while attached to your instructor

  7. Free-Fall: 60 seconds at ~200 km/h

  8. Parachute Glide: Smooth descent under chute

  9. Landing: Soft landing under instructor’s control
