Dubai: Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, assembled a group of influential leaders from the cultural and creative sectors to strengthen resilience and future preparedness within the industry.
The meeting, named ‘Creative Sector Resilience’, was co-hosted by the Dubai Future Foundation and held at the Etihad Museum. It gathered a diverse array of stakeholders, including representatives from cultural institutions, heritage entities, event organizers, and service providers.
During the workshop, Sheikha Latifa accentuated the significance of collaboration and adaptability for sustainable growth. She pointed out that Dubai’s creative sector has demonstrated robust strength through innovation, partnerships, and a forward-thinking approach, even amidst challenging times.
She acknowledged that the emirate's leadership remains committed to prioritizing people, stability, and progress, while safeguarding existing achievements and investing in future opportunities. She emphasized that coordinated efforts and shared confidence are vital to maintaining a vibrant and evolving creative ecosystem.
This meeting is part of ongoing initiatives by Dubai Culture aimed at ensuring continuity and readiness in the sector. It sought to tackle current challenges, define common priorities, and explore avenues for collaboration through structured dialogue.
Prioritizing Innovation and Readiness
Hala Badri, the Director General of Dubai Culture, highlighted that adaptability plays a pivotal role in Dubai’s cultural strategy. She emphasized the need for innovative frameworks and actionable strategies to boost sector readiness and effectiveness.
Furthermore, she stated that the goal of the workshop is to translate discussions into tangible actions that promote long-term growth while empowering creative talent via meaningful platforms.
Khalfan Belhoul emphasized the vital role of leadership support in inspiring creators and innovators. He remarked that collaboration among stakeholders is essential for gearing up for future changes, especially as technology continues to evolve and create new opportunities.

The session united numerous voices from Dubai’s creative landscape, fostering open dialogue and idea exchange. Participants focused on developing short-term action plans as well as long-term strategies to enhance resilience and promote sustainable growth.
The outcomes of this workshop will feed into a comprehensive readiness report and coordinated action plan for the sector, aimed at facilitating immediate continuity while also shaping the future vision for Dubai’s cultural and creative sectors.
