His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain, welcomed a top-level delegation from the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), led by His Excellency Dr. Tariq Ahmed Al Ameri, the Acting Director-General.
The meeting, also attended by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, centered on reviewing the current progress of ADAFSA’s strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing Abu Dhabi's agricultural, livestock, and food safety sectors.
During discussions, His Highness received insights on several pivotal initiatives focused on boosting local food production, increasing the efficiency of supply chains, and advancing infrastructure within agriculture and livestock. The delegation shared updates on initiatives designed to heighten productivity, promote sustainability, and ensure the resilience of the emirate’s food systems in the long term.
In addition, a detailed presentation was given on ADAFSA’s plans to improve food safety frameworks, enhance inspection mechanisms, and launch awareness programs related to food safety. The presentation emphasized the Authority’s aim to foster research and innovation in agriculture, food production, and livestock protection through advanced technologies and global best practices.
Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan reaffirmed the UAE leadership’s unwavering commitment—under His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE—to the advancement of agricultural, livestock, and food safety sectors, recognizing their vital role in achieving the nation’s food security objectives.
His Highness underscored the necessity of ongoing development in these crucial sectors through focused initiatives and impactful projects within a holistic and sustainable framework that boosts productivity and enables long-term growth.
Members of the ADAFSA delegation conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his unwavering support of the Authority’s programs and initiatives, and reiterated ADAFSA’s dedication to pioneering sustainable agricultural and food advancements in alignment with the UAE leadership's vision and aspirations.
