As the finale of Bigg Boss 19 approaches, viewers were taken aback during the latest weekend episode featuring a surprising double eviction. Following Ashnoor Kaur's exit, it was confirmed that Shehbaz Badesha would also be leaving. The announcement came from actor Riteish Deshmukh, who joined Salman Khan on the show for the promotion of its Marathi version.
The decision was determined by public votes, and Shehbaz unfortunately received the lowest number this week. Before unveiling the results, Salman and Riteish encouraged the housemates to speculate on who might be sent home. Farrhana Bhatt and Tanya Mittal named Shehbaz, while Gaurav Khanna and Amaal Mallik thought it could be Malti Chahar. When Riteish finally revealed Shehbaz's elimination, many contestants were visibly upset, particularly Amaal.
Salman attempted to cheer Shehbaz, reminding him that he had carved out his own identity beyond being known as Shehnaaz Gill’s brother. Reflecting on his experience, Shehbaz described his participation as a long-time aspiration and offered an apology for his earlier claims of bias against the show.
Making his entry as the season's first wildcard, Shehbaz had previously faced disappointment when he lost a public vote during the grand premiere to Mridul Tiwari.
His eviction, occurring mere days before the finale, stirred significant reactions across social media, with fans showing sadness. Shehnaaz Gill, his sister, shared a touching Instagram tribute, calling him a true victor in her eyes. Viewers appreciated his vivacious spirit, sense of humor, and the meaningful connections he developed with fellow contestants.
Ashnoor Kaur had also exited immediately before Shehbaz, following an accusation from Salman of her deliberately hitting Tanya Mittal during a task. With the last Weekend Ka Vaar of the season concluded, the show is gearing up for its finale on December 7. The episode will be available for streaming on JioHotstar at 9 pm and on Colors at 10:30 pm.
The remaining contestants vying for the title include Gaurav Khanna, Amaal Mallik, Tanya Mittal, Malti Chahar, Farrhana Bhatt, and Pranit More.
