New Residential Development Unveiled in Sharjah's Al Ashkel

New Residential Development Unveiled in Sharjah's Al Ashkel

Post by : Badri Ariffin

His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has revealed plans for a new residential area called Al Ashkel, strategically located near the Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled.

During a phone interview on the programme Direct Line, Sheikh Sultan emphasized that the upcoming development will house hundreds of residences for UAE citizens, demonstrating the emirate's commitment to its residents.

He mentioned that the roads in this area will be paved and easily accessible, seamlessly connecting to Al Rafisah. The architectural design of the homes in this mountainous region will notably differ from those typically found near coastal settings.

Addressing the residents of Khorfakkan, the Ruler reassured them about the availability of residential land and dispelled concerns regarding the depletion of housing plots in Al Harray.

Currently, 270 homes are under construction in two phases, with 120 of those located in Al Mudeife, where land has already been allocated to the Department of Housing.

Furthermore, his Highness informed that certain plots in Al Harray, which were originally designated for commercial licence holders, have now been reassigned to the municipality with expected construction timelines extending approximately two years.

Additionally, similar housing initiatives are underway in Kalba along the ring road, starting from Al Ghayl and including Al Saaf and Al Tareef, with construction recently commencing in the Al Dahiyat residential area.
