Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan is officially confirming his return as the charming spy Pathaan, with the sequel, Pathaan 2, now in the works. This exciting development came to light during his recent public appearance in Dubai, putting an end to months of speculation surrounding the series' future.
The announcement occurred at the launch of a real estate project named after the actor, where the developer revealed that Pathaan 2 is actively being created. Social media buzzed with excitement as fans shared clips, anticipating that filming will commence next year, soon after the release of Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film, Alpha.
Pathaan 2 is anticipated to be shot extensively in the picturesque landscapes of Chile, following conversations between Yash Raj Films and Chilean officials. This installment will continue the thrilling journey of Pathaan while paving the way for an epic crossover with Salman Khan’s Tiger, increasing the excitement for upcoming entries in the YRF Spy Universe.
At the Dubai event, Shah Rukh Khan also took a moment to reflect on recent accomplishments. Honored with international recognition, including a bronze statue in London, a National Award, and now a building named in his honor in Dubai, he expressed that these achievements have brought immense joy to his parents, making them proud beyond the grave.
Industry sources speculate that Pathaan 2 will commence production in the coming year, with the Chile schedule expected to showcase the country’s stunning scenery. This sequel aims to preserve the franchise's international allure while generating excitement for the highly anticipated Tiger vs Pathaan showdown. Fans are eagerly awaiting this film, which promises exhilarating action, grand locations, and the return of one of Bollywood’s most beloved spy characters.
