Cristiano Ronaldo demonstrated that he is still a force to be reckoned with, netting a goal during Al Nassr’s 4-2 victory against Al Wahda in a friendly match at Al Nahyan Stadium, Abu Dhabi. Following his fantastic bicycle kick goal, the legendary player celebrated with his iconic SIUUU cheer, much to the delight of the attending fans.
Even though the Saudi Pro League is on a break, both teams engaged in the friendly with spirited competition. Ronaldo struck first in the 12th minute, executing a precise right-foot shot into the bottom corner after a well-executed corner. Al Wahda quickly leveled the match in the 20th minute, with Facundo Kruspzky finding the net.
However, Al Nassr regained the lead in the 30th minute when Kingsley Coman unleashed a strong shot that soared into the top corner. Al Wahda responded again, equalizing to 2-2 in the 35th minute with a goal from Serbian midfielder Dušan Tadić. The match was tied at halftime, but Al Nassr emerged revitalized in the second half.
Haroune Camara scored shortly after the break, putting Al Nassr ahead 3-2. The match concluded with Saad Fahad Al Nasser adding a fourth goal, quelling Al Wahda's hopes of a comeback. The closing minutes saw Al Nassr controlling the game effectively, ultimately securing the 4-2 victory.
Ronaldo’s goal, however, won't impact his official career tally, remaining at 954 goals, 46 away from the monumental 1,000-goal mark. His last competitive goal was a stunning bicycle kick against Al Khaleej in late November.
Ronaldo also stands as Al Nassr's and the league's second-highest scorer this season, netting 10 goals—just one behind teammate Joao Felix. As the Pro League is set to resume on December 21, fans are eager to see if CR7 will sustain his outstanding performance. The path to 1,000 goals remains a riveting chapter in football history.
