Ranveer Singh Reflects on Udaipur Moments That Sparked His Love for Deepika

Ranveer Singh Reflects on Udaipur Moments That Sparked His Love for Deepika

Post by : Meena Ariff

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's romance, regarded as one of Bollywood's most admired love tales, began in 2013 with their collaboration on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram Leela. While the movie became a box office sensation, it also initiated a personal journey for the couple that remains largely under wraps.

At the recent wedding sangeet of Netra Mantena in Udaipur on November 21, Ranveer opened up about the early stages of their romance. He narrated how the lengthy shooting schedule in the picturesque city played a significant role in bringing him and Deepika together.

Ranveer revealed that, despite being at the pinnacle of their respective careers, the long hours they spent on set, coupled with shared creativity and the film's emotional depth, fostered the bond that blossomed into a loving relationship. Amid the dazzling hues of Rajasthan's landscapes, local markets, and the breathtaking lakes and palaces, their camaraderie gradually deepened.

Speaking with genuine fondness, Ranveer stated that Udaipur served as a "lucky charm" for their love story. Guests cheered as he recounted how that chance encounter years ago evolved into a lasting relationship. He proudly noted that they have celebrated thirteen years together, including seven years of marriage, and are now parents to a daughter.

The couple tied the knot on November 14, 2018, in a private ceremony at Lake Como, Italy, adhering closely to their desire for seclusion. After a five-year wait, they shared their wedding moments, offering fans a peek into their vows and cherished memories.

In September of this year, they embraced parenthood with the arrival of their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh. While they maintain a strict privacy policy regarding her, they chose Diwali as the moment to share her face with the world through a family photograph that quickly gained popularity.

Ranveer's heartfelt recollection at the sangeet added depth to a love story that fans have witnessed over the years — one that transcends typical Bollywood narratives, evolving into a story of genuine companionship amidst the pressures of their careers and family life.
