Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani conveyed heartfelt Eid Al-Adha greetings to the citizens of Qatar and Muslims globally, expressing wishes for happiness, prosperity, and peace during this significant Islamic festival.
In a statement shared on his official social media platform X on Wednesday, HH the Amir congratulated both citizens and residents as well as the broader Islamic community on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.
He remarked, “I wish to congratulate citizens, residents, and all peoples of our Islamic nation on this blessed Eid Al-Adha. May God bestow blessings, reassurance, and peace upon everyone.”
Eid Al-Adha stands as one of Islam's principal festivals, characterized by special prayers, family gatherings, and acts of charity. The event also honors the readiness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son in obedience to God.
Throughout Qatar, communities gathered in mosques and prayer grounds to perform Eid prayers, celebrating this holy occasion with loved ones. Muslims worldwide are also partaking in the festival, engaging in both religious and social festivities.
