Qatar has welcomed its first groups of pilgrims who have arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to commence their Hajj 2026 pilgrimage, an event anticipated by thousands from Qatar.
The inaugural flights took off from Hamad International Airport to Jeddah on Thursday via Qatar Airways and Saudia, with arrangements in place allowing travelers from 18 designated Hajj campaigns to keep arriving until Sunday, 7 Dhu Al Hijjah.
The Qatari Hajj Affairs Department announced that comprehensive preparations were finalized in collaboration with Saudi authorities and the official Hajj mission to facilitate seamless travel for all pilgrims.
To enhance the experience, authorities have put in place expedited airport services, swift immigration processing, and pre-arranged baggage handling. Dedicated teams from the Qatari Hajj mission are present at Saudi airports 24/7 to provide assistance and manage transport to accommodations in Makkah.
Additionally, these teams are overseeing direct luggage delivery to hotels to alleviate challenges faced by pilgrims, setting a positive tone for their Hajj experience.
Through these coordinated preparations, Qatar and Saudi Arabia are committed to delivering organized and secure services for worshippers attending this significant global religious event.
