Qatar and Jordan have initiated talks aimed at strengthening their bilateral relations and backing diplomatic initiatives to alleviate regional tensions.
In a phone discussion on Friday, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani connected with Ayman Safadi, Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs.
The dialogue centered on enhancing collaboration between the two nations in various shared interests, and touched on ongoing mediation efforts led by Pakistan to facilitate dialogue between the United States and Iran, alongside broader initiatives to support stability in the region.
Both officials emphasized the significance of maintaining diplomatic communication to alleviate regional tensions and avert further escalation. They called for constructive engagement from all parties to foster peaceful resolutions through dialogue.
Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to supporting diplomatic efforts that aim to resolve the underlying causes of regional disputes and establish durable agreements for enduring peace and stability.
