PureHealth has reported that it has exceeded AED6.33 billion in local procurement expenditures after joining the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology’s (MoIAT) National In-Country Value (ICV) initiative in 2022.
This significant achievement represents a considerable rise from the AED2.25 billion noted in 2025, underscoring the group's growing contribution to the UAE’s industrial growth and economic diversification.
The milestone was highlighted during PureHealth’s involvement in the Make it in the Emirates (MIITE) 2026 event, where the healthcare company showcased its ongoing commitment to enhancing local industries and enriching the national healthcare landscape through the ICV initiative.
PureHealth has affirmed its goal of achieving an AED13 billion ICV commitment by 2032, emphasizing its focus on bolstering local supply chains and supporting industries within the UAE, alongside promoting sustainable economic advancement.
The organization reported robust ICV performance throughout its healthcare network. SEHA recorded an ICV score of 81.13 percent, while other entities such as Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), Daman, PureLab, and Rafed made notable contributions.
PureHealth stated that its collective efforts have effectively integrated localization into procurement processes, operations, and workforce advancements across all its businesses.
Rashed AlQubaisi, Group Chief Operating Officer of PureHealth, emphasized that their ICV strategy is crucial in broadening their influence within the healthcare sector.
He mentioned that surpassing AED6.33 billion in local procurement highlights PureHealth’s commitment to investing in local suppliers, enhancing national capabilities, and refining sourcing and logistics processes. He further noted that giving precedence to local capabilities strengthens supply chain resilience, ensures continuity of care, and aids in achieving the UAE’s long-term economic goals.
PureHealth’s achievements have also garnered national accolades. In 2026, SEHA received the ICV Champion Award at the Make it in the Emirates event, while Rafed earned the same honor in 2025 for its promotion of SME participation through the ICV initiative.
Additionally, Daman received three awards from the federal Emiratisation initiative Nafis, including the top prize for “Efforts Supporting Emiratisation” and a Diamond Category award for employee empowerment.
