In Hyderabad, actress Priyanka Chopra made a memorable entrance at the exciting launch event for her film, Varanasi. Dressed in an exquisite ivory lehenga, she resembled a modern-day Princess Jasmine, drawing significant media attention. Fans and fellow celebrities were quick to acknowledge her stunning look, with her husband, singer Nick Jonas, expressing his admiration for her outfit via social media.
A Vision in Ivory
Priyanka donned a custom ivory lehenga by renowned designer Anamika Khanna, intricately adorned with crystal and sequin details, along with antique gold embroidery along the hem. Her long braid completed the goddess-like appearance that charmed both fans and fashion critics alike.
On Instagram Stories, Nick Jonas shared snapshots of Priyanka at the event, captioning one image, “Absolutely breathtaking” and referring to her as “My Desi Girl” in another. He also highlighted the film by posting Mahesh Babu’s character poster and offering congratulations to the entire team, saying, “This film is bound to be amazing.” His posts garnered immense attention as fans celebrated both Priyanka's look and their supportive relationship.
Priyanka Returns to Indian Film
Varanasi marks Priyanka Chopra's eagerly awaited comeback to Indian cinema following a six-year break. In the film, she portrays Mandakini, with her character revealed in a dramatic new poster shared by director SS Rajamouli. The visual showcases Priyanka in a saree, brandishing a gun, signaling her significant and action-packed role. Rajamouli also welcomed her back on social media, acclaiming her contributions to global cinema.
Her character promises to be a central figure within the narrative, embodying both strength and elegance, thereby showcasing Priyanka's impressive range as an actress. There's much excitement surrounding her dual portrayal of glamour and action as she makes her grand return to the Indian film landscape.
The film stars Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu as Rudhra, with the teaser released on November 15, revealing him riding a bull through Varanasi's vibrant streets—a sneak peek into the film's thrilling sequences and innovative storytelling.
Prithviraj Sukumaran joins the cast as Kumbha, the film's antagonist, indicating electrifying confrontations ahead. SS Rajamouli also disclosed that Mahesh Babu will embody Lord Rama in one sequence that required an extensive 60-day shoot to capture its grandeur.
