Music composer Palash Muchhal is gearing up to tie the knot with India’s World Cup-winning cricketer Smriti Mandhana this week. As their wedding day approaches, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached out with a heartfelt letter, wishing the couple joy and writing, “May both teams win in the game of life.”
Palash and Smriti have nurtured a loving relationship over several years, thriving both personally and in public life. Their wedding is set for November 23, 2025, an event that has fans buzzing with excitement.
In his congratulatory note, Prime Minister Modi expressed his happiness about the couple's impending union and highlighted that a cricket match will be featured as part of the wedding festivities. He penned, “It’s wonderful to hear about the upcoming nuptials of Smriti and Palash on November 23, 2025. Sincere congratulations to the Mandhana and Muchhal families on this joyous occasion.”
He shared his good wishes for their life together, stating, “As they walk through every season of life joined at the hand, may they find strength in unity. May their thoughts and souls resonate in harmony, and may their aspirations flourish together, leading to a future filled with joy and understanding.”
The Prime Minister added a poetic touch when comparing their gifted talents, suggesting, “May Smriti and Palash cultivate a life grounded in trust, supporting each other tirelessly and embracing joint responsibilities with love. Their new journey together will harmonize the elegance of Smriti’s cricketing finesse with Palash’s musical artistry in a stunning partnership.”
A lighthearted comment about the wedding festivities was included as well, with Modi noting, “It’s fitting that a Celebration Cricket Match is set to take place between Team Groom and Team Bride! May victory bless both teams in this game of life. I extend my blessings to the couple on this landmark occasion.”
Previously, Smriti shared her engagement with Palash through a creative video on Instagram, featuring her fellow teammates Jemimah Rodrigues, Shreyanka Patil, Radha Yadav, and Arundhati Reddy. They performed a choreographed dance to the track Samjho Ho Hi Gaya from the 2006 movie Lage Raho Munna Bhai, culminating in Smriti showcasing her engagement ring, confirming all speculation about her wedding plans.
Palash, who is from Indore, had earlier confirmed the wedding during an event at the State Press Club, humorously stating, “She will soon be the daughter-in-law of Indore... that’s my only comment. You have the headline.”
The couple is now poised to exchange vows on November 23, 2025, with celebrations likely to be filled with music, cricket, and joyous family moments.
