The gifted actor is set to join Cynthia Erivo in Bad Fairies, a forthcoming animated musical comedy being produced by Warner Bros. Pictures Animation in collaboration with Locksmith Animation.

Currently being crafted in London, Bad Fairies represents the inaugural project under the new first-look agreement between Warner Bros. and Locksmith Animation. Scheduled for theatrical release on May 21, 2027, the film aims to offer a modern and rebellious twist on traditional fairy tales.

Gatwa’s career exemplifies diversity, showcasing roles from the beloved Eric Effiong in Sex Education to his sci-fi escapades in Doctor Who, and now venturing into animation. At the age of 31, he has garnered accolades for his performances on stage in productions like The Importance of Being Earnest and Born With Teeth. His partnership with Broadway luminary Cynthia Erivo in Bad Fairies marks an exciting new chapter in his career.
