In response to the tragic explosion at Red Fort in Delhi, Manika Vishwakarma, India's Miss Universe 2025, shared her profound grief and support for the victims and their families. Taking to Instagram on November 11, the model expressed feeling “heartbroken and speechless” due to this horrific event that has rocked the nation.
A Compassionate Message to the Nation
In her heartfelt post, Manika mentioned,
“To my fellow Indians, to my beloved Delhi, and to every family affected by this tragic blast, my heart is heavy today. The news from our cherished national capital has filled us all with shock and sorrow.”
She offered prayers for the bereaved and speedy healing for those injured, commending the courage of first responders and the strength of Delhi's citizens, stating that their resilience embodies the enduring spirit of India.
“Together, We Will Heal”
Crowned as Miss Universe India 2025 earlier this year, Manika emphasized that her title comes with a significant responsibility.
“Wearing the crown of Miss Universe India means a lot to me. It allows me to advocate for peace, compassion, and unity, especially during these mournful moments. I raise my voice today to declare: we will stand united. We will support one another. We will heal together.”
She encouraged citizens to opt for unity rather than fear and hope in place of despair, asking everyone to honor the victims by remaining strong and united as a nation.
Manika Vishwakarma was crowned Miss Universe India 2025 on August 18, 2025. She is set to represent India at the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Thailand on November 21, 2025.
With her grace and empathy, Manika continues to inspire fans, reminding everyone that compassion and unity are the true hallmarks of India’s beauty.
