As Kuwait prepares to celebrate its National Day on February 25, authorities have urged residents to celebrate with pride while acting responsibly. Officials stressed that public festivities should reflect civic awareness, respect for shared spaces and national values.
Kuwait Municipality highlighted that people’s conduct during celebrations sends a broader message about Kuwaiti society. Enthusiasm, officials said, must not come at the cost of public order or community wellbeing.
Special emphasis has been placed on maintaining cleanliness across streets, parks and public facilities. Authorities warned that littering during celebrations not only harms the city’s appearance but can also create safety hazards, especially in crowded areas.
The municipality also cautioned against the use of balloons and water guns, saying such activities could cause disorder or damage to public and private property. Residents were reminded that celebrations should be conducted in a civilized manner that avoids disruption.
With large crowds expected, officials said national pride is best expressed through respect for public spaces, consideration for others and responsible celebration that reflects Kuwait’s values.
