Kandi Burruss, a former star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, has confirmed her separation from husband Todd Tucker following 11 years of marriage.
In her statement, Burruss expressed, "After considerable reflection and prayer, I have decided to pursue a divorce. This is a challenging and emotional phase for me, but my priority is to maintain my peace, be an excellent mother, and foster a respectful co-parenting relationship. I am entering a new chapter focused on my career, family, and personal development. I appreciate everyone who has supported us and request privacy, grace, and understanding as we transition our family."
Burruss, age 49, and Tucker, 52, first crossed paths in 2011 during the filming of Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. They became engaged in January 2013 and tied the knot in April 2014. They share two children: son Ace, aged 9, and daughter Blaze, aged 5. Additionally, they have older children from previous relationships: Burruss’ daughter Riley, 23, and Tucker’s daughter Kaela, 29.
Their marriage faced a few hurdles, including discussions regarding their prenuptial agreement, which sparked some tension. Tucker raised concerns about specific clauses, such as vacating the home within 30 days if the marriage dissolved, while Burruss clarified, "You get what you get and I get what I get." Despite these differences, the couple remained united for over a decade.
As reported by Celebrity Net Worth, Burruss holds an estimated net worth of $30 million, whereas Tucker’s net worth is approximately $400,000.
