ENOC Celebrates Earth Day 2026 By Highlighting Energy Milestones

ENOC Celebrates Earth Day 2026 By Highlighting Energy Milestones

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Today, ENOC Group, a premier energy company, observed Earth Day 2026 by highlighting over ten years of advancements in energy efficiency within its operations. This year, the global theme is “Our Power, Our Planet.”

Energy efficiency is integral to ENOC's daily workings, rather than a recent initiative. The organization consistently integrates energy-efficient processes across all its facilities, systems, and strategic planning.

To commemorate the day, ENOC hosted toolbox discussions on energy efficiency at various operational sites, engaging frontline team members in the practical application of the company’s Energy and Resource Management (E&RM) practices.

Hussain Sultan Lootah, CEO of ENOC Group, emphasized that Earth Day serves as a poignant reminder of our collective duty to enhance energy efficiency. He reiterated ENOC's dedication to sustainability, aligned with Dubai’s Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and UAE's Net Zero by 2050 objectives.

The company’s E&RM strategy has successfully led to significant reductions in energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions throughout its refinery, terminals, retail operations, and headquarters. This initiative has also produced a remarkable AED 478 million in overall cost savings, demonstrating that sustainability and operational efficiency go hand in hand.

Moving forward, ENOC Group aims to enhance its climate reporting and governance frameworks according to IFRS S1 and S2 standards, ensuring that its sustainability achievements remain transparent, quantifiable, and beneficial to stakeholders.
