The Dubai Land Department (DLD), in partnership with Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), recently convened a developers' meeting as part of the Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator Programme. The initiative aims to enhance the involvement of Emirati talent in the Dubai real estate market.
Empowerment Through Industry Engagement
This meeting represented a pivotal moment in the program's first phase, offering participants valuable engagement with prominent real estate developers. This facilitated a wealth of knowledge sharing, networking opportunities, and practical insights into the sector.
This initiative aims to help trainees in their journey from academic settings to practical applications in real-world scenarios by connecting them with ongoing projects, market trends, and business ventures.
Encouraging National Entrepreneurship Goals
The Emirati Real Estate Business Incubator is part of the national campaign “The Emirates: The Startup Capital of the World,” which operates under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Its goal is to create a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem for Emiratis within the real estate domain.
This program is executed in collaboration with Dubai Silicon Oasis, the New Economy Academy, and Rochester Institute of Technology Dubai (RIT Dubai), forming a cohesive framework to train and empower future real estate innovators and brokers.
Connecting Developers with Aspiring Professionals
The meeting fostered collaboration between developers and aspiring professionals by providing project insights, marketing avenues, and well-structured mentorship. Participants also enjoyed personalized guidance sessions, advanced real estate resources, and attractive industry incentives.
Officials indicated that these initiatives are pivotal in transforming trainees into competent professionals ready to launch and manage their own real estate enterprises.
Insights from Leadership
Badr Buhannad, the Director General of Dubai Silicon Oasis, remarked on the program's crucial role in equipping national talent and ensuring their success in the competitive real estate landscape.
Eng. Abdullah Ahmed Al Shehhi, CEO of the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), noted that the initiative transcends mere training by emphasizing the development of competitive enterprises that will enrich Dubai’s real estate sector.
Paving the Path for a Sustainable Real Estate Sector
The program embodies Dubai's forward-thinking vision of cultivating a robust, innovative real estate market driven by skilled Emirati professionals. With training, mentorship, and direct exposure to the industry, it aims to forge sustainable career options and enhance the overall market competitiveness.
