Elon Musk and U.S. President Donald Trump seem to have mended fences, following a public feud months ago. Their friendly encounter happened at a White House dinner featuring Trump, Musk, and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, centering on business discussions.
During the gathering, Trump expressed his support for Musk, stating, "You are so lucky I am with you, Elon," while highlighting new tax incentives for domestic vehicles. Musk later extended his gratitude to Trump via X, remarking, "I appreciate all President Trump has done for America and the global community," alongside images of himself with Trump, the Crown Prince, and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang.
This dinner came several months after Musk's brief term as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a position he held from January until May. Trump announced Musk's departure when his government contract was set to expire. Post-exit, Musk criticized certain aspects of Trump's budget proposals, deeming the spending plan the "Big Beautiful Bill."
To mark their collaboration, Musk’s supporters are planning a grand reunion celebration in Austin. Numerous former DOGE personnel are anticipated to attend, with Musk likely present at the upscale venue he frequently visits. The event is reportedly organized by DOGE leaders.
This gathering signifies a public reconciliation between the tech entrepreneur and the president, underscoring Musk's enduring presence in influential circles of both business and politics.
