The Dubai Taxi Company (DTC), a key player in the city's transportation network, has successfully secured 600 additional taxi licenses through the most recent auction by the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority.
This move reinforces DTC's status as the leading taxi provider in Dubai, raising its market share to 47 percent and expanding its fleet from 6,217 to 6,817 vehicles.
The integration of these new taxis will be executed in stages beginning July 2026, aimed at ensuring operational efficiency while delivering superior service quality to passengers. This initiative addresses the growing demand for transportation solutions throughout the city.
Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, Group CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, remarked that the acquisition of these 600 taxi plates is a pivotal milestone in the company’s growth trajectory. He underscored that this expansion showcases their belief in Dubai’s evolving mobility landscape and urban advancement.
He mentioned that the gradual deployment of these vehicles will optimize asset utilization, enhance financial outcomes, and significantly elevate customer satisfaction.
This expansion aligns perfectly with the vision set out by the Dubai government and RTA to forge a smart, interconnected transportation ecosystem, supporting the ambitions outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 to position Dubai as a frontrunner in advanced urban services.
