Bijnor Dog Makes Headlines for Circling Hanuman Idol

Bijnor Dog Makes Headlines for Circling Hanuman Idol

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh — A viral video from Nagina, Bijnor, depicts a dog that has been circling a Hanuman idol for almost 36 hours, only stopping briefly for rest. This unusual act has drawn large crowds of devotees, who have described the incident as a “chamatkar” or miracle.

According to the initial social media post: “In Bijnor’s Nagina, a dog has been circling a Hanuman idol for the past 36 hours. A significant number of devotees are present to view this reportedly ‘miraculous’ phenomenon.”

The video quickly made its way across various social media platforms, garnering substantial views and shares. Audience reactions were mixed; while some interpreted it as a divine sign, others were worried about the dog's well-being. Comments reflected concerns such as, “The dog could have rabies” and “It might be suffering from a neurological condition.” Many urged intervention from animal welfare organizations or veterinarians.

Veterinary specialists and AI tools, such as Grok, suggested that repetitive behaviors in dogs might indicate underlying health problems. One likely cause could be Canine Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS), akin to Alzheimer’s in humans, which affects older dogs and can lead to unusual behaviors like pacing or circling. Other possibilities include vestibular disease, pain, or rabies. Experts advised that a thorough veterinary examination is critical to avoid assumptions about the dog's condition.

This incident illustrates how quickly crowds gather around extraordinary happenings. While many attribute it to divine forces, experts emphasize the need to prioritize the health of the animal and seek professional veterinary assistance.
