Dil Raju Sets the Record Straight on Akshay Kumar Film, Dismisses Salman Project

Dil Raju Sets the Record Straight on Akshay Kumar Film, Dismisses Salman Project

Post by : Maya Rahman

Telugu film producer Dil Raju has garnered attention following widespread media speculation about a potential pan-India film featuring Bollywood icon Salman Khan. The buzz had fans excited, but Dil Raju has decisively put these rumors to rest.

In an official statement, he confirmed that there is no current collaboration with Salman Khan. Instead, his focus is firmly on an upcoming film starring Akshay Kumar, which will be directed by the acclaimed Anees Bazmee, currently in the pre-production phase.

According to Dil Raju's team, many outdated reports have been conflated with recent news, leading to misinformation. They emphasized that these assertions are unfounded, pledging to release official updates at the appropriate time.

The team characterized the latest rumors as "groundless" and exaggerated, cautioning against linking past conjectures with new developments, as this creates further misunderstandings.

Moreover, they expressed their commitment to providing accurate details regarding the cast, plot, and release date only once everything is finalized. They kindly urged media outlets to refrain from publishing unverified stories, highlighting the importance of obtaining proper confirmation before disseminating information.

In addition to the speculation surrounding the Salman Khan project, another narrative has surfaced suggesting that the forthcoming Akshay Kumar film might be a Hindi adaptation of the Telugu movie *Sankranthiki Vasthunam*, featuring Venkatesh Daggubati. This film centers around former IPS officer YD Raju, who investigates a significant kidnapping case.

However, it appears that this information also remains unverified. Reports from Pinkvilla indicate that while Akshay Kumar enjoyed the original film as a cinema enthusiast, he has no intentions of starring in a Hindi remake. Instead, he has been in discussions with Anees Bazmee for a fresh collaboration, aligning with Dil Raju's recent announcement.

Akshay Kumar's schedule is already brimming with films, including *Haiwaan*, *Bhagam Bhaag 2*, *Welcome To The Jungle*, *Hera Pheri 3*, among others yet to be announced. Fans are eager to uncover more about his collaboration with Dil Raju.

As it stands, Dil Raju is firmly dedicated to the project with Akshay Kumar, under the direction of Anees Bazmee. Although the film is still in its preliminary planning stages, more information is anticipated soon. The producer has firmly stated that rumors of a Salman Khan film are unfounded at this time.

This clarification has alleviated confusion for both fans and media outlets alike. Anticipation now builds for further details on the collaboration between Dil Raju and Akshay Kumar, expected to emerge as a significant project upon the official announcement.
