Dharmendra's Health: Hema Malini and Esha Deol Address Rumors

Dharmendra's Health: Hema Malini and Esha Deol Address Rumors

Post by : Rameen Ariff

Mumbai: The iconic Bollywood star Dharmendra, affectionately dubbed the He-Man of Indian cinema, has been hospitalized at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital due to breathlessness. At 89, he is closely monitored by medical staff, and his family reports that his condition is stable and improving.

In response to rampant misinformation and social media chatter claiming his passing, Dharmendra's wife, Hema Malini, and daughter, Esha Deol, have issued heartfelt appeals for privacy and have urged the public to refrain from sharing unverified information.

Expressing her frustration on X (formerly Twitter), Hema Malini stated, “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible media spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and recovering? Please respect our family’s need for privacy.”

Esha Deol took to Instagram to comfort fans, revealing, “The media seems to be in overdrive spreading false information. My father is stable and recovering. We kindly ask everyone for privacy during this time. Thank you for your prayers for my father's speedy recovery.”

Reports indicate that Dharmendra is receiving care from senior cardiologist Dr. Dev Pahlajani at Breach Candy Hospital. Although rumors circulated about the actor requiring ventilator support, family members have not confirmed these claims.

Throughout the day, numerous celebrities and relatives have visited the hospital, including Hema Malini, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Abhay Deol. Notable Bollywood figures Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Ameesha Patel have also shown their support, visiting to pray for Dharmendra’s health.

Security has been bolstered outside Breach Candy Hospital as fans and media eagerly await updates. Hospital sources have noted that Dharmendra is responding positively to treatment under continuous supervision.

Fans across the nation have taken to social media with heartfelt tributes and prayers for his recovery. The hashtag #PrayersForDharmendra is trending, with many reminiscing about his legendary roles in classic films like Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Yaadon Ki Baaraat, and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani.

Turning 90 this December, Dharmendra remains active in both films and on social media, continuing to inspire fans with his graciousness and charisma. His most recent project was in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya earlier this year.

While an official medical update has yet to be released by doctors, family sources insist there is no need for alarm. Dharmendra is stable, and the Deol family has encouraged everyone to rely solely on official communications.
