Delhi Man Shot Dead in Maujpur Suspect Confesses Revenge

Delhi Man Shot Dead in Maujpur Suspect Confesses Revenge

Post by : Meena Ariff

In a shocking incident in northeast Delhi, a 24-year-old man named Faizan was shot dead at a cafe in Maujpur on Thursday night. Authorities confirmed that the attack was fueled by a personal grudge.

A video posted on Instagram by the suspect, under the handle 'moinqureshiii_', shows him admitting to the killing. In the footage, he claimed that Faizan had slapped him months ago, prompting him to seek revenge. The suspect denied any involvement by his family or friends and said no money or external influence played a role.

"I killed Faizan over a personal grudge. My father, family, or friends had nothing to do with it. He slapped me four months ago, so I took his life," the suspect said in the video. He also dismissed claims by Faizan's family that the attack was related to financial disputes.

Faizan's brother, Salman, had earlier stated that Faizan owed a loan and alleged that both the suspect and his father had confronted him at home over the unpaid money. Salman demanded that both the suspect and his father be arrested.

The shooting occurred around 10:28 pm at Mr King Lounge and Cafe. Faizan was found seriously injured and rushed to Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival.

Salman revealed that Faizan was hit by three bullets—one in the head and two in the chest—and also suffered a cut mark on his hand.

Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act. Multiple teams have been deployed to apprehend the accused. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances of the crime.
