Arab Parliament Denounces Iran's Assaults on UAE, Affirms Security Support

Arab Parliament Denounces Iran's Assaults on UAE, Affirms Security Support

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, expressed strong condemnation of the missile and drone assaults launched by Iran against the United Arab Emirates, branding them as “aggressive and terrorist acts” that jeopardize both regional peace and stability.

In a statement released on Saturday, Al Yamahi articulated that these hostilities reflect a severe escalation and a blatant breach of international law, the UN Charter, and the fundamentals of good neighbourly relations. He cautioned that such actions directly threaten Arab national security and elevate tensions throughout the region.

The Speaker of the Arab Parliament asserted that Iran's continual military actions illustrate a belligerent strategy directed at fostering instability and undermining the security framework of the Middle East. He noted that these provocations endanger both regional and international peace and safety.

Al Yamahi emphasized that the Arab Parliament stands firmly with the UAE in all efforts to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Furthermore, he reiterated that the security of the UAE is integral to the broader national security of the Arab world.

He also called upon the global community and the UN Security Council to take prompt and resolute actions in response to the attacks, urging world leaders to maintain a deterrent posture against continued Iranian aggressions to ensure the safety and stability of Arab nations.

The statement underscored the Arab Parliament's solidarity with the UAE and its ongoing support for initiatives designed to protect citizens, residents, and critical infrastructure from security threats.
