Tragic Passing of Andhra Student Rajyalakshmi Yarlagadda in the US

Tragic Passing of Andhra Student Rajyalakshmi Yarlagadda in the US

Post by : Rameen Ariff

Texas, US – November 10, 2025: A devastating event has shaken the Andhra Pradesh community as 23-year-old Rajyalakshmi “Raji” Yarlagadda was discovered deceased in her Texas apartment. A recent Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi graduate, she was exploring career prospects in the United States when she unexpectedly passed away on November 7.

Her cousin, Chaitanya YVK, reported that Yarlagadda had been experiencing a serious cough and chest pain for the two to three days prior to her passing. "Sadly, on the morning of Nov 7, 2025, she didn’t respond to her alarm, leaving her relatives and friends in deep sorrow," he shared. Friends later found her unresponsive in her living space.

Medical professionals in the US are diligently investigating the cause of her death. The shock of this sudden loss has left her family back in Andhra Pradesh and her friends in the United States mourning deeply.

Chaitanya has launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist the grieving family. The initiative aims to cover funeral costs, transport Yarlagadda’s body back to India, repay her student loans, and provide support to her farmer parents in Karmechedu village of Bapatla district.

"Raji came to the US aspiring to improve her parents’ future through education and dedication," the fundraiser stated. "Her unexpected passing has not only shattered her family but also brought about financial strain."

Friends, classmates, and admirers are mourning Yarlagadda’s death, remembering her as a devoted student with a kind heart dedicated to uplifting her family.

Her family has appealed for prayers and assistance from the community as they face this challenging period.
