Al Ahli Triumphs Over Al Khor in Qatar Basketball League Week 9

In the latest round of the Qatar Basketball League for the 2025–2026 season, Al Ahli dominated Al Khor with a resounding 118-94 victory on Monday. Displaying strong control, Al Ahli particularly excelled in the second quarter, where they established a significant lead. Although the first quarter saw tight scores, Al Ahli gradually pulled ahead as the match unfolded.

Jesse Jones Jr. from Al Khor emerged as the game's leading scorer, netting 37 points in a commendable individual effort, despite the defeat. On the winning side, Nigel Armoni Johnson led Al Ahli with 26 points, contributing significantly to the team’s success. With this win, Al Ahli climbed to sixth in the league with 10 points, while Al Khor remained in ninth place at 8 points.

In a concurrent match, Qatar SC overcame Al Gharafa, finishing with a score of 111-99. Qatar SC’s cohesive teamwork and scoring prowess in the opening half were crucial in maintaining their advantage through the game.

Joshua Morris Nicholas was a key player for Qatar SC, racking up 33 points to propel his team to victory. Conversely, Rashad Allen Williams scored 29 points for Al Gharafa in a strong performance. Following this match, Qatar SC advanced to eighth place with 9 points, while Al Gharafa found themselves at 10 points in seventh.

The ninth round of the Qatar Basketball League will conclude on Saturday, featuring a match between Al Wakrah and Al Arabi, alongside Al Sadd facing Al Rayyan, with Al Shamal absent from play this round.
