AFC Chief Commends Qatar for Exceptional FIFA Arab Cup 2025

Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation, has lauded Qatar for its remarkable execution of the FIFA Arab Cup 2025, highlighting that the tournament adhered to the highest global standards. He noted Qatar's meticulous planning, professionalism, and discipline throughout the event. The successful organization, complemented by modern stadiums and effective logistical support, contributed to an outstanding football experience that captivated teams, officials, and fans.

Sheikh Salman emphasized that Qatar's top-notch sports facilities and extensive experience in hosting significant tournaments were pivotal to the Arab Cup's success. He ensured every technical and logistical aspect was addressed meticulously, providing a safe and enjoyable environment for players and attendees. The tournament further reinforced Qatar’s stature as a premier host for international sporting events.

Additionally, the AFC President acknowledged the collaborative efforts of FIFA, continental football associations, and national federations, which collectively elevated the quality of the competition. He remarked on the invaluable role of regional events such as the Arab Cup in enriching teams’ experiences, enhancing their competitiveness, nurturing new talent, and advocating for values like respect and sportsmanship among all participants.

Sheikh Salman congratulated Morocco for clinching the championship with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Jordan in the finals, attributing their success to exceptional teamwork and consistent performance. He affirmed that this achievement mirrors the positive development and increased standing of Moroccan football on the world stage.

He also extended his praises to Jordan for securing the runner-up position, commending their evident improvement and unwavering determination. Sheikh Salman observed the progressive trajectory of Jordanian football, noting their rising ambitions both regionally and globally. He remarked that reaching the finals was a significant milestone for Jordan, indicative of their consistent advancement in the football arena.
