Nakheel, a segment of Dubai Holding Real Estate, has awarded a substantial AED 527 million contract to Al Nasr Contracting Company. This deal focuses on the crucial infrastructure and utility enhancements for Island B within Dubai Islands.
The initiative aims to establish essential infrastructure necessary for upcoming residential, hospitality, and mixed-use projects. The contract encompasses the construction of roads, paving, water supply infrastructures, electrical and telecommunications networks, drainage systems, sewage systems, and connections to the district cooling system. Coordination with the existing infrastructure on Island A is also pivotal to the project's success.
Designed with modern sustainable practices in mind, these developments will foster long-term growth and ensure dependable services across the island.
This latest contract represents a significant advancement in the comprehensive development of Dubai Islands and aligns seamlessly with the objectives of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan.

Spanning 18.6 square kilometers through five interconnected islands, Dubai Islands will feature around 57 kilometers of coastal area, including 21 kilometers of beaches. Anticipations indicate accommodation for over 231,000 residents across approximately 49,000 residences, which will include villas, mansions, and apartments, enriched by resorts, marinas, retail, and leisure amenities.
Island B holds significant importance within the master plan, requiring robust infrastructure to facilitate future developments and services.
Jean Nicolas El Helou, CEO of Al Nasr Contracting Company, affirmed the firm’s dedication to delivering high-quality and sustainable infrastructure solutions to support Dubai’s ambitious growth targets.
Dubai Islands will achieve expanded connectivity to the mainland through three bridges that are integrated with the Al Shindagha Corridor, strategically located within a 10-kilometer radius of Dubai International Airport and a 15-kilometer distance from Downtown Dubai, enhancing access throughout the city.
