Heavy Showers and Humidity Advisory in the UAE

Heavy Showers and Humidity Advisory in the UAE

Post by : Badri Ariffin

Dubai: The UAE woke up to a cool and overcast Friday, with significant rainfall reported in Sharjah and Fujairah, as stated by the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

Forecasters indicated that additional showers could occur throughout the day, as convective clouds develop over the northern and eastern areas of the nation.

Winds are predicted to remain light to moderate, with the possibility of mist or fog forming in coastal and low-lying inland regions during the early morning hours.

The NCM has also noted a notable rise in humidity, potentially reaching 90%. This surge in moisture might lead to dense fog in various locations, particularly affecting Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman during late night and early morning.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution due to likely low visibility in areas affected by fog.

Temperatures across the UAE remain pleasant, consistent with winter, with lows around mid-15°C and daytime highs predicted to hit 26°C. Currently, Dubai is sitting at approximately 19°C under partly cloudy skies.

Although winds may peak at 35 km/h, sea conditions are expected to remain generally calm, ensuring stable coastal weather.

Residents should stay informed through official weather updates and take all necessary precautions while on the road.
