As OnePlus gears up for its year-end reveal event next week, excitement is mounting around the release of the OnePlus Pad Go 2. Set to launch on December 17, the Pad Go 2 will debut alongside the OnePlus 15R and Watch Lite, aiming to provide a blend of price and performance for students, young professionals, and casual creatives.
Display and Design: A Visual Treat
The Pad Go 2 comes with a larger 12.1-inch display that boasts a crisp 2800 x 1980 resolution and an impressive 88.5% screen-to-body ratio. The 7:5 aspect ratio enhances reading and productivity, while Dolby Vision support and peak brightness of 900 nits ensure stunning visuals for streaming and gaming.
Enhanced Performance with MediaTek
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra, the Pad Go 2 is a major upgrade from its predecessor. Coupled with 8GB RAM and running Android 16-based OxygenOS 16, this tablet is prepared for seamless multitasking and sustained performance, certified by TUV SUD for up to four years of reliability.
Superior Battery Life
A significant upgrade in battery capacity now features a massive 10,050mAh unit, offering up to 15 hours of video play, 53 hours for music, and an impressive 60 days in standby. Quick 33W SuperVOOC charging is available, with a 45W charger included. It also supports reverse charging, allowing users to power other devices—ideal for students and travelers.
Stylus and Productivity Features
A standout feature for creators is stylus compatibility. The new Pad Go 2 Stylo provides 4,096 pressure levels and swift charging—10 minutes can yield half a day's usage. Enhanced productivity features include AI Writer, AI Summary, AI Translation, and AI Recorder, alongside the Open Canvas multitasking layout for effortless split-screen functionality.
Variants, Connectivity, and Pricing
The 8GB/256GB Shadow Black model includes 5G connectivity, ensuring users stay connected on the go. Priced expectedly below ₹25,000, the Pad Go 2 combines value with noteworthy enhancements, making it a solid choice for budget-conscious consumers seeking a capable tablet. Sales will commence in India on December 18, the day following its launch.
