The retail landscape in the UAE is set for a technological revolution. By 2026, full-size humanoid robots may soon roam mall corridors, greet shoppers, and assist diners in restaurants, following their unveiling at the BRIDGE Summit 2025 in Abu Dhabi.
LimX Dynamics from China, a pioneer in advanced robotics, presented its latest humanoid design, showcasing remarkable stability and adaptability. Jesse Liu, CFO and Director of Global Operations for the company, noted that the UAE's embrace of innovative technologies makes it an ideal venue for such pioneering trials.
Featuring learning capabilities akin to human intelligence, these robots employ reinforcement learning and simulations to master new skills, execute tasks accurately, and adjust to various environments. This advanced programming transcends traditional robotics, enabling a more autonomous response to real-world situations.
Experts suggest that upcoming developments will center around enhancing the robots' operational intelligence, moving beyond mere mobility to a deeper comprehension of their environment, paving the way for roles in both industrial sectors and customer service that require human-like interaction.
As advances in AI-powered robotics continue, humanoid robots could soon be a common sight in our everyday lives, heralding a future where intelligent machines work alongside humans rather than replacing them.
